Event Details

This month we return to our foodie theme (by popular demand). We have dined at Casa Teresa (Spanish), Bistro Provence (French), and Clarity (New American), and now we'll explore a private dinner of Japanese cuisine at Love, Makoto in DC.

The rich flavor, one-of-a-kind ingredients, and meticulous presentation are just some of the reasons why Japanese cuisine is so special. Its combination of simplicity and complexity makes for an unforgettable culinary experience that will leave you wanting more. We will consider food as art, explore well beyond the sushi and udon

Celebrity chef Makoto Okuwa opened Love, Makoto as a wonderland of Japanese culinary opportunities. We'll savor Omakase, a Japanese dining experience that involves placing one's trust in the chef's culinary skills to create a personalized meal. You'll likely return to sample the several dining experiences in this space, including three full-service dining experiences (aside from our private dinner).

We'll be joined by Dr. Robert Stewart CEO of TextOre, which leverages their expertise in international security and geopolitics, media monitoring and analysis, influence and interference operations. He brings a Ph.D. in Chinese Studies and International Affairs and extensive experience in Japanese business.
