The Washington National Cathedral took 83 years to build, is the 6th largest cathedral in the world, and is home to many state funerals. The result of nearly a century of work by stonemasons, architects, and artisans, the Gothic building is a treasure trove of design, history, and many stories. Even if you have visited before, it still holds many secrets.

• Private after-hours docent-led tour of spaces the public doesn't see
• Sharing of backstories of notable (if not controversial) stained glass windows
• A special look at the 1:40 scale LEGO replica of the Cathedral (13 feet long and 8 feet tall) under construction!
• Briefing by the Deputy Director of Preservation, who has overseen restoration (from 2011 earthquake) and the organ renovation
• Comments by the Director of Revenue (what is a cathedral's business model?)

Note: The docent-led tour starts at 5:30 pm from the West Side (Wisconsin Avenue) visitor's entrance, so plan to arrive no later than 5:15 to allow time for parking in the Cathedral's public garage off Wisconsin Avenue.
